“The Favourite” ภาพยนตร์ชีวประวัติสุดดราม่า และเป็นภาพยนตร์ย้อนยุคเรื่องแรกของผู้กำกับ ยอร์กอส ลันธิมอส โดยบทภาพยนตร์ของ เดบราห์ เดวีส และโทนี่ แม็คนามารา ซึ่งภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ได้นักแสดงมาร่วมประชันบทบาทกันอย่างคับคั่ง แถมการันตีฝีมือการแสดง อาทิ เอ็มม่า สโตน ที่เคยคว้านักแสดงหญิงยอดเยี่ยมรางวัลออสการ์ครั้งที่ 89 จากภาพยนตร์เรื่อง La La Land โดยครั้งนี้เธอรับบทเป็น “อาบิเกล ฮิลล์” หญิงรับใช้คนใหม่ขวัญใจของ “ซาร่าห์ เชอร์ชิลล์” ดัชเชสแห่งมาร์ลบะระ ที่รับบทโดย ราเชล ไวซ์ เจ้าของรางวัลนักแสดงสมทบหญิงเวทีออสการ์ จาก The Constant Gardener
พร้อมด้วย โอลิเวีย คอลแมน ที่มารับบทเป็น “สมเด็จพระราชินีแอนน์” ซึ่งเธอเคยได้รางวัลนักแสดงสมทบหญิงจากซีรีส์ขนาดสั้นหรือภาพยนตร์สำหรับฉายทางโทรทัศน์ยอดเยี่ยมเวทีลูกโลกทองคำ ครั้งที่ 74 จากเรื่อง The Night Manager นอกจากนี้ยังมี นิโคลัส ฮอลท์, โจ อัลวิน, มาร์ค กาติสส์ ฯลฯ มาร่วมประชันบทบาทในภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้อีกด้วย “The Favourite” มีแผนจะเข้าฉายในเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2019
